Recently neuroscience has discovered a new part of the brain that when activated short-circuits learned helplessness. When we activate this newer part of the brain, we naturally become unblocked. We no longer feel stuck like we can't do anything. We no longer learn to give up.

Under constant stress, the brain activates its illbeing muscle: the dorsal raphe, and we go into 'learned helplessness'.
